AUDIO
VO: Our world has changed. Americans now live, day to day, with security issues we never anticipated just three years ago. (08) NATS UP: The federal government has raised the terrorism alert to
Code Orange… (03) VO: Whether we are faced with a terrorist threat or a natural
disaster, all the duct tape in the world won’t help if you don’t have the
right information at the right time. (09) SOT George Lamb: What we at Safety Through Cellular are doing
is providing a completely new warning system that will deliver emergency
information in record time. In less than 60 seconds. Time saves lives, and
right now, we’re relying on incomplete warning systems that require active
monitoring, like actually watching TV or listening to a turned-on radio. (18) VO: Safety Through Cellular has pioneered the Early Alert
Receiver Program, or EAR system. With EAR, local and state
authorities can quickly send messages to a small, stand-alone device, using
existing cellular networks. (13) EAR OPERATOR: For example, minor emergencies or alerts will receive text
messages only. But immediate, more critical emergencies are announced with
text, a loud audio alert and a flashing light. (11) VO: The device can alert people where they work, play or sleep. All
the consumer needs to do is purchase the Early Alert Receiver and then
plug it in to an existing outlet. No contracts are required and there is
nothing to program with this easy-to-use system. (12) VO: The EAR system sends alerts from multiple sources, such as
The Federal Alert System, The National Weather Service, the AMBER Alert
Network or local sheriff, fire and police departments. (10) SOT from authority: We are so excited about the EAR program.
This is something that will alert the public to an emergency better than any
other method. This will provide the public with information that can save
their lives. (09) END TRT: aprox 01:30 Suggested anchor-out: To get more information
